Counting to 100! I always start the day with having my students count out building materials in groups of ten for our STEM challenge that we will complete later in the day. This way, students are engaged in counting right from the start of the day, and they are helping get materials ready for another classroom activity. I have students count out building blocks, pattern blocks, cups, brainflakes, and any other building materials you want them to use.

Counting to 100 Books! These four books are my favorite counting to 100 books: The Night Before the 100th Day of School, One Watermelon Seed, Let’s Count to 100!, 100 Dogs. Check out my book list for even more 100th day of school book ideas.

100 Necklaces! Make a 100th day necklace by lacing 100 things on a piece of year. I have students count out the materials and place them on the ten frames before they thread. Cereal is a great manipulative for this activity because it is way cheaper than beads! I suggest fruit loops or something with a larger hole for little hands to lace.

100 Treats! Motivating young children with food is an easy way to encourage them to work on their counting skills and one-to-one correspondence. These ten frame counting sheets are perfect to keep students on track with the small groups of objectsand help them get all the way to 100.

100th Day Hats! Make these adorable 100th day of school hats with your students to give them something to wear around all day. My students love making hats and showing them off to all the other students.

100 Sticker Collage! Practice fine motor skills with a sticker collage! My students LOVE stickers, and the ten frame paper helps them stay organized while they put their stickers on and count. Peeling off the backing of the stickers allows little learners to better grasp the stickers and get them off the paper when doing hands-on activities.

Count to 100! Use any sort of math skills manipulative you have in your room to spark student interest while they count to 100. You can use small rocks, pom poms, buttons, beads, letter manipulatives, building blocks, pattern blocks, counters, crayon pieces, googly eyes, etc.

100 Number Cards! Have older students put the number cards in order from 1 to 100. This is a wonderful skill to practice and can be done individually, as teams, or as a whole group. I printed each set of ten in a different color so students could do a little self-correcting as they worked on this math skill.

100th Day Activities for Preschool, Pre-k, and Kindergarten - Pocket of Preschool (16)

Number Hunt! Have students play a number hunt game to practice number identification from 1-100. I placed all the number cards in a pile, and students picked one and put an X on it on their paper. You could also have students pick a number off the hundreds chart instead of a pile.

100th Day Activities for Preschool, Pre-k, and Kindergarten - Pocket of Preschool (17)

One More, One Less! This number game is a great way to practice more than, less than skills, as well as number recognition, counting on, addition, and subtraction skills. Students pick a number card and place it in the middle of their board. Then, they write the number that is one less and one more on the board. Erase and go again.

Base 10 Build! Give students a different math tool with base ten blocks. They pick a number card and then build the number with ten rods and ones pieces. This would definitely be too hard for 3 and 4-year-olds, but 5 plus would benefit from this math game.
